Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups of fresh blueberries
Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cold butter or margarine
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Beat 1/2 cup butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating well. Add egg, and beat well.
- Combine 1-1/4 cups flour, baking powder, and salt; add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning with and ending with flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Top with blueberries.
- Combine all topping ingredients except butter and stir together. Cut cold butter in with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly, sprinkle crumb topping evenly over blueberries.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
